MCGF

In 2002, in an attempt to give something back to the area that he grew up in, Beagle Jarvis started Madison County Gravity Fest.  The first 2 years the racing took place on Rocks Road in the Town of Eaton.  In 2003, the racing moved over the hill to East Hill Road in the town of Stockbridge/Village of Munnsville.

The course is 1.5 miles in length, with a total elevation change of 500 feet.  There are sweeping curves and mind-bending corners.  This is an event that is extremely difficult to describe to anyone who has never seen Gravity racing.  You have to see it to believe it!!  There are several different classes that race; Street Luge, Standup Skateboard, Classic Luge (Buttboard), Dirtsurfers and Gravity Bikes.  Racers compete in Junior, Amateur and Pro classes, with a minimum age for racers of 8 years old.

This year's sanctioning body is Dr. No Racing (www.drnoracing.com).  The sanctioning body controls the racing for the weekend, including registration, scheduling, starting, finish line, etc.  The Madison County Gravity Fest committee is responsible for other amenities, including hay, portable toilets, EMT's, racer transport, etc.  We cannot cover the costs of these amenities without sponsorship monies (see our sponsorship page).
